The first stop on this twilight pilgrimage is the wild and distinctive beach of Halikounas, located in the southwest of Corfu, gently embracing the Korission Lagoon. Further along the coast, Glyfada and Kontogialos form a twin paradise of sandy retreats, arguably two of the most popular beach destinations on Corfu’s western side. Just a bit farther north, Kontogialos is slightly quieter, but no less breathtaking. Watching the sunset here offers a perfect fusion of vibrant color, human presence, and unspoiled nature. At the northernmost edge of Corfu’s western coastline lies Agios Georgios Pagon, patiently awaiting its evening visitors.
